Her current role is Amantha in Rectify the Sundance Channel comedy. Abigail Leigh Spencer works as an actress in both television and films. She became popular with her performances on the show drama Rectify along with the sci-fi show Timeless. She is a native of Gulf Breeze Florida she made her acting debut on the character in the soap opera All My Children. She was awarded a Soap Opera Digest Award for the most outstanding female newcomer. In the following years she mostly played guest part on numerous television shows. They praised her for her portrayal of the character Dr. Erin Jameson in the television series Hawthorne. Slowly with the help of her stunning looks and impressive performance skills, she could build a large fan base. She first made her debut in film when she was around 20 years old, playing part in the film Campfire Stones. In addition, she has appeared in Jekyll This Means War, Chasing Mavericks and other movies. For her part in Beautiful Now, she was nominated for the Madrid International Film Festival Award.
